Don't leave the gate open

We have a Great Pyrenees, that stays with the goats in the barn or pasture most of the time. On occasion we will bring her down to the yard around the chickens and the house.  A few days ago was such a day. When we went to the post office we made the mistake of forgetting she was in the yard and left the gate open. It was our goal to never allow her outside of her 'perimeter'. Well, she got out and was across the road in a neighboring pasture when we returned. A mistake we regret. It pays to think - all of the time. 

Fortunately, now a few days later, she has not shown any inclination of wanting to leave our property again.  Pearl is a great dog. We hope it stays that way.
