  1. Now that was a tour! There are many changes and yet many familiar faces. A question though.....are you stockpiling grass for feed, there is a lot of cover and I am curious?

    1. We have two extra round bales of hay if we end up needing them. They usually get used for mulch in the garden, though. Glad you enjoyed the tour.

  3. Fern, and Frank,

Great pictures, thank you for sharing.
The last picture, were you on top of hay bales when you took it?
Expecting snow here on Saturday and Monday, stay warm!

    1. No, I wasn't on top of the hay, just looking over it. I hope you don't get much snow and that we don't get any, but it is going to be cold. Thanks, Sandy.

  4. Thanks for the great pictures. We are just starting to look into and research goats. Just curious, why does the goat in the 7th/8th pictures appear to have duct tape on its ear?

    1. Interestingly enough, Perry, Copper, the mother, had the same problem as a kid. There is an article about it here:

We will take the cardboard and tape off tomorrow and the ear should be fine. Thank you for asking.

    2. We are thinking about getting kinder goats, do you know if they have this problem with the ears?

    3. We don't have any experience with Kinder goats, Perry. Check out 5 Acres & a Dream on our blogroll. Leigh has kinders.

  5. With events unfolding over the past week and again this morning in Baton Rouge, LA, it has started. Look out for the convention starting tomorrow. We're in for a rough ride I fear.
