Consider what you would do......

Hello Everybody, Frank here.

I found this quote on Western Rifle Shooters recently, and it started an interesting conversation in our house.

"Consider what you would do if you knew [we inserted if you actually BELIEVED] your country had already moved beyond the point of no return."

So, let's take a look at this. Let's break down the terminology. How do you know something has happened? A while back the news media would tell you, well that's not going to happen anymore.

Now what if you believe something has happened? Folks in the scientific world need absolute proof, unless of course, the scientists contradict each other, like global warming. Do we have to have incontrovertible facts that we know something has happened? Isn't this part of the problem that has gotten us to where we are today? Did a plane actually hit the Pentagon on 9/11? Many folks believe not, few actually know. There is a fine line between believing and knowing. Some used to know that their country was good, but a lot believe different now.

Did this Epstein pervert actually commit suicide? Many people believe not, only a few probably know. All these investigations
involving the FBI, the DOJ and other related scams, will anything ever come of these investigations? Who knows? It is starting to look like that believe not thing again. This list of 'know' and 'believe' could go on until the end of time. Or some believe it could anyway. The internet is one of the greatest tools ever invented. I don't believe Al Gore invented the internet. And I don't believe that cow farts contribute to global warming. There are a whole lot of things that I used to 'know', but now I don't believe.

So, what does the word Country mean? Is this the place with the amber waves of grain and the purple mountains majesty? Or is this a group of people that came together with different ideas and philosophies? I used to know, but I don't anymore.

What would we do if we knew our country was beyond the point of no return? Well, we are doing it. We've gone grey and turned grey in the process. We have a respectable stockpile, food, shelter, protection, you know the drill. I don't believe we are past the point of no return, I KNOW we are past the point of no return. How do I know? Look at every discipline in our country. Here is a partial list. Medical industry, educational system - all levels, gender identity, race relations, there are lots of confused people. And geez, I almost forgot, our colossal government that is involved in everyone's life.

So, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. I would recommend that you do what is best for you and yours, and you might want to do it soon. I unequivocally know that we have moved beyond the point of no return. I know unequivocally that our country has moved beyond the point of no return.

AND I AM PISSED!

We have been lied to, cheated and screwed. We have just started to see the tip of this colossal iceberg.

We'll talk more later,  Frank

  1. As I've told people in the past, we're just observers of events that may or may not affect our lives. Being observers, we can comment and commiserate, but we're not going to change anything.

As to the question in your post, what is there to do? As a prepper with military experience, someone who has publicly expressed my disdain for our corrupt government, and worst of all a Christian, I'm already considered a potential(?) domestic terrorist. Any individual action I, or anyone like me, would take would disparaged in the media as just another nut case. So I observe, and prep.

    1. Hi, Tom. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

During the Obama administration there was talk about labeling veterans as terrorists and putting us on the no fly list. Remember, Tom, we veterans are government trained killers. Cooks, supply guys, infantry and special forces, at one level or another, we are trained to do the unthinkable. Think maybe that's why the news media always mentions that the guy was a veteran? Even if it was 20 years ago?

Yes, I've gone quiet. I call it grey. And I'm gonna stay that way. Maybe I can slide a little farther down their list.

Thank you for your comment. Take care. Watch your back.

  2. They will soon get around to all those who remain grey after they have taken out all those who would come to your aid...I'm not going grey I'm going to keep on trying to get people to start building Communities like I have started here in the Bitterroot and if that gets me eaten first well at least I didn't have to worry about trembling in the hallway waiting for that knock on the door...That's one of the reasons why we are losing because everyone is withdrawing off the field of battle...Sad That...

    1. Hi, Lineman. I certainly appreciate your condescending comment. It helps me appreciate those that I choose to associate with, which are very few, by the way. At this time we still live in a country where people can throw out insulting little comments.

Different topic. The Bitterroots? A beautiful area. I do think you had a math teacher from Hamilton that is conveniently locked away. And Missoula, that liberal bastion of a university?

Lineman, do you remember Hatchet Jack? What are you folks going to do up there when the supply lines quit? Think about Hatchet Jack froze to a tree. I don't think you'll find many folks in my area trembling in a hallway. Being grey and being a coward are not the same thing. You are hiding in the Bitterroots, aren't you? Right there next to old Hatchet Jack.

Hope you enjoy this nice, warm weather. Winter is coming.

    2. When people go gray they are in essence withdrawing from society and are hoping they don't get noticed when things start to fall apart...If that truth hurts your feelings well what's coming will be a whole lot worse...You have said you have tried to get people to wake up and failed so you have decided to quit trying and now you're upset at me for pointing that out... Being grey right now when we still have time to wake people up reeks of cowardice no matter how much you justify it...Also how am I hiding out when I'm trying to get people to build Community where I am at and have spent time and money and have opened my home to them...

    3. Lineman, you have lots of opinions and I believe you are wrong. I wish you the best in life, and may God and peace be with you.

But, Lineman, I'm the farthest thing you will ever meet from a coward. This conversation is finished.

    4. Lineman, the old saying was "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." These days though, it's more like "The squeaky wheel gets GREASED."

The majority of the "3%" who fought the Revolutionary War were "grey." They were NOT cowards. Neither are we...

At a certain point GOD got tired of trying to wake people up, and told the only one who listened to build a boat and fill it with animals...

      'Nuff said...

  3. There is no doubt in my mind that our country has moved past the point of no return. We have been used and abused by those in power. Sad thing is, we the people put the abusers in office. Our country will never again be the country our founding fathers intended. Corruption and greed rule.

As for going gray, I am right there with you, Frank. I see not one reason to put a bullseye on my back in an effort to try forming a like-minded community. It isn't that I am too lazy. I have said it before...I do not know another individual or group that I could trust. TRUST is the key word here. My family will stand and take care of ourselves for as long as we are able. At some point, we may be blessed to find others who are willing to join our efforts, once they see the light. I pray that our efforts and Our Father's love will provide for our needs. Bad times are coming...be aware and continue to prepare. CW

    1. Hello, CW. I cannot disagree with a word you said. I have tried many times over the years to bring people together. It has caused laughter, but that's okay. I taught classes at church. I taught local radio groups. The vast, vast majority of folks think I am a fool. Yes, I've gone dark, I've gone grey and I keep my head down now.

It's my life, it's my choice, and I'm going to do it my way. Those that disagree? We just disagree.

I do believe we are past the point of no return. Thank you for your comments, and please keep sharing.

  4. I, too, believe we have passed the point of no return. In the past, those who would change our nation into one of socialism were at least sneaky about it. Now they shout their ideas from the rooftops. And sadly, many buy into the religion of free stuff.

Those who believe community is the answer take a risk I am not willing to take. How can you know if those who wish to join your community are telling the truth. How do you know for certain some of those will not turn on you when things get rough. I know quite a number of really nice folks. But I do not know what lurks behind the mask of friendliness and like-mindedness.

I do know my family. I have known all of them their entire lives. I trust them. I would no more invite a 'friend' to join us any more than I would invite a wolf for dinner among a herd of sheep.

I will continue to prepare for my family. I will take whatever precautions I need to. My priorities are not the survival of community, but the survival of my family. And who knows. We may come out on the other side, when the insanity has passed like everything does, better for it.

    1. Hi, Vicki. Is it 'chili' outside where you are? It's warming up again here.

At first I talked to friends about trying to get together. Some were sincere, and others were looking for a free ride. I wish now I had not made my ideas, plans and location public. Hopefully as time passes these memories will fade. My family is not on board either, but they are family, whether blood or adopted, they are family.

Thank you for taking the time to share.

    2. Frank...It is 'chili' here as well. The only thing heating up is the hate and discontent in the Cities.

Like you, I no longer preach preparedness. Nobody listens. Nobody cares. Nothing will ever change. The grocery stores will always be full. The government has to take care of us. Phooey.

I still think when the stores are empty and the reality of a really bad situation sets in, there will be some 'Come to Jesus' moments , even among those family members who scoff now. I can't turn them away either, so I can more chili. :)

  5. We have tipped and I feel, no I believe , we are heading downhill like a snowball heading toward Hell. There is no shortage of chaos in this country. I am an optimist yet I do not see any bright glimmer of hope in the future of our country. There is one exception and that is the hope of God, whom I pray to daily for direction and decision making in my life .
If you stand up and make a lot of noise about turning things around you will get hammered down. Especially if you are Christian, white, veteran, male and support the Constitution of the United States.
So the big question is "what to do about it " ? It does not matter where you live , you will find it very difficult to escape big brother. We are no longer going to try to wake up those around us , my head is sore from beating it against the wall and being laughed at. Voting only matters at the very local level, we will not vote our way out of this mess we are in . Finding an honest politician is like trying to find a tootsie roll in a septic tank.
We will continue to learn things , grow our garden, and put stuff away, stay away from crowds and turn gray.
Buckle up it will be a bumpy ride as the roaring twenties get closer.
    Blessing to all,
    Bluesman

    1. Bluesman, I will never look at a tootsie roll the same again. Thank you for the chuckle.

I fall into all of those categories you mentioned. I have written about that before. We have an election coming up in, what, about 14 months now? These people are not going to give up, they will intensify and accelerate. We may have an academic, intellectual winner with verbiage and threats, but I cannot see how next summer will not be violent. These people are not going to give up. I don't really see how we're going to pull out of this thing. You're right, voting is fruitless. It's not long until next summer. The attacks will start, well actually, they already have, but they will escalate to monumental proportions when it warms up again.

Please continue to share your thoughts and words. This idea of front line warfare had it's day and time. The movie The Patriot with Mel Gibson is more of what is probably coming. But remember, it's just a movie, reality will be much more difficult to absorb and survive.

Aim low, they're riding shetlands. And don't get on the bus.

  6. I feel like I'm sitting on the sidelines watching a teeter totter go up and down, up and down. I don't want the world and everything in it to go belly-up but I'm so exhausted from just watching the world teetering on the brink.

After reading some history, it seems to me like so much of the time people's freedoms ever-so-slowly slip away without them ever really realizing it because they're not paying attention and they always seem to want someone else to make the teeter totter go! Of course, once they're on they can't seem to get off because they're not sure how they actually got on and are scared to death to jump.

I'll admit I am afraid of what is happening - but little good it does me. I feel like I'm fairly capable of batting my fear with the help of God but oh my goodness, I get so discouraged - watching the teeter totter go up and down, up and down. I've simply elected to quit watching and just live "right". I don't know what else to do.

    1. Hi, Nina. Thank you for sharing.

Lots of people feel afraid, myself included. Every day there is some new revelation that we find, frankly, just unbelievable. I think you're right, it is sliding and it's been sliding for a long time. My fear is this continuous slide will accelerate and reach the edge of the cliff. Then we will have a free fall. Not just our country, it will involve everyone. The higher we are on the scale, the farther we will fall. The fall I am concerned about, but reaching the bottom will be the unknown impact. I don't know what else to do either. I pray and prepare, and I'm now being very quiet. That is what we are doing.

      Thank you again, Frank

  7. I agree with most all of what has been said (except for lineman) however despite the daily tirade of vitriol that spews out from our media that many of us ignore or turn off, one would be hard pressed not to see the slipping away of our freedoms and basic civility. I also believe that many have gone grey (not coward) as facing this head on seems daunting. But face this we must, so here is my question: many of us continue to prepare and encourage our loved ones to do the same. Most are few in numbers without a large like-minded group to surround them and many have family members who do not want to hear about our observations....so how do we unite when the time comes? How do we support each other as I am sure there are many of us!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maggie, excellent question. How do we unite?

      Well, maybe we don't.

Here is my prediction. When this thing hits bottom, whatever this thing is, most people will pack up and go to the cities for security.

An example. Half, or close to it, of our population is taking some kind of LEGAL mind altering drug. These people cannot survive without this medication. Of course, in any instance, there will be exceptional cases, but we're talking about the majority here. Now let's throw in illegal drugs, tobacco, alcohol or a combination of any of the above mentioned.

I take a legal drug everyday for my heart. So, what am I going to do? Well, I have prepared for this. This is one of those cases where I will be quiet, but a friendly doctor and I worked this situation out a long time ago.

I live in a rural area. There are more gardens out here than in most major cities, but very few. Most people out here buy their food every couple of days and that's what they have in their houses, again speaking of the majority. These folks will also go to the towns, that's where the big stores are.

So, most of the people are gone. There are always going to be a few stupid Bubba's here and there that think they can live off the land, or they will just take what they want. That mind set will not last long. The numbers are getting smaller where I live.

Now the reality. There is a possibility and a chance that I will open my door someday and somebody ends my life right then and there. This is reality. When my time is up, it will be up.

That crowd is getting smaller all the time, isn't it? Let me finish off this prediction here. If you have the means to survive for a few weeks, shelter, food, water, protection, then you will start to meet people that are like minded because that is all that will be left. Of course, there are exceptions.

Make sure you have your head right. This venue that we are communicating on now will not be available. Read the Little House On the Prairie series.

I hope you and yours make it. Good question.

  8. An excellent discussion. In my mind there is no question we are past the point of no return. It's frustrating to watch the clueless go about their daily lives without a clue about what is bearing down on us. I too have pretty much given up trying to convince others of the value in preparedness. I've done what I can to insure my family's survival and it's going to have to do.
There is another black swan event coming soon, it goes by the name Grand Solar Minimum. By all estimations it will suck. It's at the door, research...

    1. Hi, Michael, sorry for the delay, I hope you read this response.

Michael, we do follow the Grand Solar Minimum. Actually Fern did an article about it a couple of years back.

We don't talk to folks about what is coming any more, in my humble opinion it is a waste of breath. I only have so many breaths left and I'm not going to waste them on somebody that is fat, lazy and stupid. If that's harsh. Ok.

But yes, we do follow the Grand Solar Minimum. Check out the Ice Age Farmer.

Again, I'm sorry for the delay in my response. Frank

  10. Greetings from the Great White North.

I am new to your site and love what I see already. Know that you who see are not alone.

As far as being mislead by propaganda (((fake news))) I think it is inevitable as it is much easier to identify what is aimed at others before that which is aimed at ourselves. That being said the authors here have it right in asmuch as we can only prepare ourselves and our families for whatever may come.
My grandparents survived the Great Depression and always had a basement full of canned food no matter their prosperity.
Seems like a simple formula. Be prepared and if we are wrong or misguided... Great!
Good luck and Godspeed to all who read this. Even the bloated ticks that work for our govt "masters".
