Bring Me Sunshine

Frank found this YouTube sometime ago. I have it bookmarked on my computer. It is a great pick-me-up anytime. So the next time you need some sunshine, watch it again. Then share it with your friends and family.

Even when life gives you lemons, you can still bring joy to yourself and those around you. Life is not always fair and we can not always choose the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Life is what it is, for each and every one of us. What is most important is what you do with it. Choose wisely.

Until next time - Fern

  1. Oh Fern! You have no idea, or do you, of the joy you bring people yourself. I've got to tell you that the picture of your books (so lovingly arranged and obviously well enjoyed) brings me great joy. Your photo also shows me that I'm not quite as obsessive about my books as I thought I was. I love that you have wonderful tchotchkes mixed in with your lovely books!

    1. Cheryl, you are very kind. I do love my bookshelf, it is a great treasure of information.

I have a question. What is 'tchotchkes'?

  2. Oh my! I guess my "New Jersey" (or as my Mother would say New Joisy) just came out!
Tchotchkes are, depending on your outlook, lovely treasures, favorite things, dust collectors, and just joyful things to gaze upon. I can hear my Mother's voice right now - your house is just fulla tchotchkes. Mother's apartment is absolutely immaculate. Not a thing out of place. Our home is clean but we clearly have projects. My crafting table is covered with greeting cards for our granddaughter's upcoming birthday, the Christmas cards I'm making (which are mostly for my Mother!), and a scrapbook I'm working on for Mother for Christmas. The coffee table in the den is also covered. I've got a scarf I'm working on for our granddaughter's boyfriend for Christmas, a hooded scarf for a Christmas gift, a dollhouse 4 poster bed that I've taken all the bedding off and I'm making all new counted cross stitch bedding for, 3 counted cross stitch bookmarks for Christmas gifts, and I just picked up the "Star Trek Cross Stitch" book to make more (!) Christmas gifts.
I think I'll read a little in my "free time!"
Thanks so much for being you Fern!
