We had some friends over a while back for the first time. When I opened the refrigerator the wife made the comment that our contents looked funny because we didn't have a bunch of 'normal' store bought stuff in it. I took that as a great compliment. I think if most people looked in our frig, they would think there was nothing to eat either. A very interesting thought. I was thinking of blogging on this as my high school senior son comes home and complains there's nothing to eat. Most foods in my fridge are homemade or home canned. The home I bought & remodeled was built by one of the grandsons (his sister, at 95 is doing well & has been a wonderful neighbor, as has her son). When he passed away, his wife sold it to a couple who simply coudn't afford to keep it up and so it came to some disrepair. I kept the house as much as originally done as was possible & every week some family member would stop by to say hello, welcome me and let me know how happy they were that Bud's place was being cared for. I was so honored last March (a year after I purchased it) when the families asked if I would like to be in the 2015 calendar - the property had not been in it since before 2000. I am Miss September & proud of it! Holding the calendar up are 2 magnets knitted up into small baskets by a friend with my NASCAR drivers on it: #88 & #99! A lightbulb magnet from my electrician holds up the hunting season schedule & my huge Georgia Carry magnet holds up my gardening plan - still in progress for this year. What a great post to share!<br />Jan in NWGAUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18137391627656146813noreply@blogger.com
